Last week, it seemed spring had arrived, pale hues of nascent green in with the browns and grays like a verdant sunrise of the new season. Now, not so, snow in the stinging wind, accumulating on ground rehardened by the cold. Nature is confused, perhaps a bit mad, this March.

You’ve captured the mood of the now very well here. “Nature [and we within it] is confused, perhaps a bit mad”

An evocative, imagistic tale of two seasons in the prose, followed by a heartfelt, complementary haiku. Excellent!

Nicely expressed with lovely phrases.
I took a similar picture today of daffodils coming up through the frosty ground. 🙂

Nicely done. We both agree that winter is confused.

We have spiking daffodils, blooming daffodils and snow flurries. Confused indeed.

Those white crystals do look beautiful against the green which I know will win out in the end.
